How to prepare for Class 12 Boards in one Month.?? "The Boards Mantra for 2014"

There is just a month left for the first major examination that one faces in Class XII - The XII CBSE Boards.
The grand named exam doesn't need a grand 2-Year like the JEE. It needs some simple measures to be taken care of. And the best part is, You can easily score a 90+ even with just one month of prepration.

Even if you are a JEE Aspirant then too you need to take the boards seriously because JEE Mains has its percentile weightage for Class12 Boards, so if you screw up your 12th boards, qualifying in JEE Advanced a long distanced dream, you might not even be able to give JEE Advanced.!!

So here's the mantra to scoring well in your boards with just one month of preparation....

Don't Panic
Stay Calm
Students preparing for their board examinations need to stop panicking. They should take it as any other set of ordinary exams as the easiest way of winning a battle is to win the battle in their mind first .
Its just a simple exam, no rocket science knowledge is required to score good marks in class 12 boards. All it needs is basic understanding of the concepts and practicing different variety of questions in the topics.

Make Realistic Targets
Students need to make realistic targets for themselves.
They should not try to overdo things like trying to study everything in a single day.
Students also tend to get hyper quickly, they should avoid it and try and divide their course according to their capacity to learn.

From where should I Study?
Building concepts without learning the basics is an unhealthy and tiresome way of studying. NCERT textbooks provide thorough knowledge of the basics and once a student gains this knowledge of the basics, he can solve other reference books as well easily. XAM Idea provides a good reference. In mathematics if you have only one month left, then do not go for RD Shrama, its mammoth, go for books like XAM Idea who's main focus is getting you a 90-96 score, however RD Shrama is for those who want a strict 100. The choice is yours, but be wise, see the size of the book, the syllabus and "the time left". Do not forget to complete NCERT.!! It is your bible.

How should I Study?

Have faith in yourself and make a timetable. This timetable shall contain your daily routine, how many hours are you going to devote to studying on a particular day, what are you going to study, from where are you going to study and how much estimated time is it going to take?
Start from those chapters which are your weak point, which let you down.
Follow this timetable rigorously.

The Psychology for Boards
The secret to achieving high marks for a student is to stay who they are and believe in themselves. Friends, parents and competitors are always there to change the tactics and track even at the last moment. Students should believe that no matter what anyone does or says, their way is still the best way .

What you should, you shouldn't.....
Students have a habit of not sleeping properly, especially the night before the exams. They should instead sleep early every night, get up early in the morning, and have a proper breakfast and then study. Eating good food is also very important as students need a lot of energy during their exam time in order to sustain them for the whole day .
Don't get stressed.

Try to avoid stress.
Students are also recommended to perform yoga and meditation in order to avoid stress. These exercises enhance their concentration power which refreshes their mind and body .You can also go ahead and watch a movie, not in hall but on your laptop or PC, or TV to relax yourself a bit, or you can even listen to music if that works for you....Just don't over-stress yourself.

Last Minute Preparations?
Students need to avoid last minute preparation as it always results into a total chaos and delivers disastrous results. Do not study new topics on the day before the exam, just try to revise what all you have studied and have faith in yourself.
All necessary materials such as pen, pencil, admit card, scale etc. should be organized in due time and be ready to be carried away when you are to leave for the exam centre.
If one paper goes bad then don't get depressed, just stay calm and prepare for the next with full concentration.

At the Exam? How to write the paper?
Well how to write the paper? You gotta do that with something you might have heard of - A "PEN" :P
Do not mess up your paper, Drawing neat diagrams and labeling them is one of the ways of presenting the answer sheet neatly and in an impressive way in order to score good marks. Students should always use a separate rough column and fair column. They should also have a habit of underlining the important points with black pen or pencil to make it easy for the teacher to check .
CBSE recently has started uploading the answer sheets of those students who got a full score, so you can check at the CBSE website cbse.nic.in for those and take reference regarding how should you write the paper.

What could be the worse that could happen??
Stay Calm and don't Panic.
The final word.!! _/\_
The last tip as to how to ace in exams is to have fun. Do not dread examinations and fret over them. Study your syllabus, prepare well and give your papers in a cool state of mind. Examinations are to test your understanding and when you prepare well, nothing can stop you from achieving desired results.
What's the worse that could happen if you don't score good? That isn't even a question coz, You are smart, you'll score good.!! Have faith.

Best of Luck
